A collection of ceramic pieces exploring the theme of nature and the motif of ‘Mother Earth’, with an aquatic undertone. The concept behind the collection aims to bring attention to current ecological and climatic issues such as plastic waste in the sea and sustainable fishing. How ceramics act as an antithesis to plastic yet in some ways run parallel - one is natural, the other man made yet both last for a long time. Ceramics become part of the landscape and add to our social history whereas plastic tarnishes and disrupts it.
